Meeting Location Change Notice

After finding out on-location that the Tracy Gee Community Center was closed to voting, the meeting location changed to La Madeleine just east of Beltway 8 and Westheimer for May 22. The webmaster previously reported that the meeting was canceled before finding out later of the venue change. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

HPS member exhibiting works this weekend in Brenham

Support HPS member Sandra Stevens this coming Saturday, March 31 in Downtown Brenham for an open house! Enjoy food, drinks, entertainment, shopping, and a lot of fun!

Open house is from 3-7 p.m. at Ranch Antiques (117 W Commerce Street in Downtown Brenham). The evening will feature live music by Chris Martinez, a book signing by Barbra Schulte, local artist Sandra Stevens, catering by Kay’s Cuisine for the Soul and Brazilian cuisine by Nilza Libardi!

Sandra will be exhibiting her photography and oil paintings.

Art exhibit featuring HPS Fellow Jerry Brown

Long time HPS member and Fellow, Jerry Brown, together with respected photographers Art Stokes and Jimmy Allen will have their “Three Voices” group exhibition in the Ross Gallery (114 N. Live Oak Street) at the Art for Rural Texas in Fayetteville from March 24 until April 21, 2012. The opening reception will be 5-7 p.m. on March 31, 2012. Please go out and support him and see some great photography!

2012 Houston Public Library – HPS Year-end Print Exhibition

This photo/video fusion project shows a few HPS members who volunteered to hang the 2011 winning print competitions photos at the Houston Public Library Central (Downtown). The exhibition will be on display on location through February 28, 2012. ~ Photos courtesy of HPS member Leslie Stessel.

Pow Wow field trip video

A few HPS members went on a last-minute field trip to photograph at a Pow Wow on November 12, 2011. The video was created by HPS activities coordinator Nathalie Brouard featuring photos from the participants.
