FOOD PHOTO SHOOT – PROGRAM NIGHT – MAY 9, 2017, FROM 7-9 PM at the Tracey Gee Community Center

Program night is not going to be like the typical HPS program night.  We are going to be doing a food photography shoot, so bring your camera and tripod and let’s have fun.  We will collaborate with our photography friends to come up with some interesting photos. There will be 3 to 4 stations set up with a prop table of food, plates, cups, coffee, tea, linens, cutlery and cutting boards to use in setting up your photos. Feel free to bring a food item with you to shoot and eat. We will not be eating our food props until the end of the photo shoot.

We are trying something new and will see how it all comes out.  If you enjoy the shoot or have suggestions, please feel free to express them to the HPS committee.

P.S. PLEASE REMEMBER FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE SPECAL ASSIGNMENT FOR THE UPCOMING PHOTO CONTEST.

Special Assignment Photo Walk – April 8, 2017

On April 8, we are taking a photo walk in Floresville, TX at a farm owned by one of Paul Tally’s contacts.  We should be able to get some awesome photos.  Any photo taken on the walk may be submitted in the Special Assignment Print Competition for April 2017.  Floresville is South of San Antonio, which will be a 3+/- hour drive.  There will be signup sheets at the Print Competition next week but if you can’t make it and are interested in the photowalk, email Kate O’Connor at foodiephotogal@gmail.com. If you would like to carpool, please let me know and I will provide a list of all interested in carpooling. We will find somewhere in the area to eat but are still working on the details.
Shoot Location:  4416 CR 401, Floresville, TX 78114
Happy shooting!
