First Meeting of 2011

The first meeting of 2011 will take place Tuesday, January 11 beginning 7 p.m. It is our Program Meeting and the first January meeting is always comprised of the year-end photo competition awards announcement, the transition of officers, and a potluck dinner.

The year-end judges are invited to speak about why they felt compelled to select the winners so we can learn from their thought process.

So, bring your appetite, a potluck dish (coordinate with Rachel Burychka) and let’s roll in the 2011 HPS year!

As always, visitors are welcome to participate, but please keep in mind that this meeting is a departure from the typical Program Meeting.

2010 Annual HPS December Party Photo Slideshow

The 2010 Annual HPS December Party was a success at Café Adobe located at Marqe Houston on Thursday, Dec. 16. There was plenty of food, drinks and a great turnout.

Members and their invited guest plus special invited guests (judges and presenters in 2010) enjoyed an evening of laughter and good conversation.

We, at the Houston Photographic Society, wish all of you and yours a most bountiful and happiest of Thanksgiving holidays.

We all have so many things to be thankful for — colleagues, friends, family, health, and fun camera equipment to name just a few. Whatever you are thankful for, we thank you for your interest and/or involvement with the Society.

Be safe and capture many photographic memories!
